I was just wanting to find out how i can increase the pr of my sites or is it just a matter of building links and good content and letting big g increase it as time goes on.. also is there any time frame or measurement of what pr a site should be i.e 5,000+ links and at least 1 year old = pr 3 etc etc

thanks

There is no time frame for PR. Google updates PR every so often so you can't really say when or what your PR will be, the only thing you can do is to get high PR links pointing to your site, the more high pr links you have the more chance you have of getting a higher PR. However, do not confuse PR with rankings or traffic.

If you want to increase page rank of your website then you need to create quality backlinks. Google always prefer quality over quantity. Try to get links from authority domains so you get better page rank in next update.

Build dofollow backlinks from sites with a PR of 5 or greater, and your PR should increase with the next Google update.

increasing pagerank is completely based on your backlink you got from different website and the website visibility. Google gives page rank to only those website which have nice website.

Getting a higher PR ONLY depends on the quality of the pages you get backlinks from. If they are High PR and have only a few OBL, then you will surely get a higher PR in the next PageRank update

You only need couple good quality PR6 links to get to PR4 by next Google update. no need to wait for a year and waste your time on pr0 links

Everything has pretty much as been said, but I'm wondering why would you want a higher PR? PR is great but should not be your primary focus as getting quality backlinks (which is what you want to get ranked) will eventually give you a good PR. I don't really focus on "dofollow, high PR" backlinks and still get good PR within months... Hope that helps!
