Number 1 on Google with just blank page and one word...is anyone know how he doing that?

It's an exact-match domain with a ton of backlinks and "something" is a term that is clearly not very competitive for SEOs. There are lots of people typing something like: "Enter your website like www.something.com" etc.

Google is retarded that's how, yet everyone keeps bragging about how "they're the best" blah blah. They've had like a decade to perfect the art of searching and the fact they return a blank page for that is ridiculous. Here's a thought, how about instead of them trying to ruin all the legit businesses out there, they learn about the basics. I'm half tempted to make my own search engine, and don't think i'm not crazy enough to do it either, or market the crap out of it :p

I dont understand why you guys are surprised about this. I mean, the keyword "something" is one of those keywords that almost nobody is trying to rank for. So when you have an exact match domain, you probably dont even have to do anything else to get it to rank 1.

Its not because Google is retarded or the site owner is doing something extraordinary, its just because there is almost no competition for the keyword and its a useless keyword to rank for, thats all!

Actually 'something' is an extremely competitive keyword to rank for. It would take some serious effort to get on page one.

It gets 90,500 exact GMS.

'purple' is even more competitive and has 201,000 exact GMS.

It's a classic example of the power of offsite SEO.

The domain is 13 years old, a PR5 and has over 800,000 backlinks (according to Majestic SEO).

If you look at the older versions of the site in the wayback machine, it originally was a site for "WestNet Internet Services", then around mid 2000, the content was changed to the current one word page.
