Starting a website due to ill health, advice needed.

Hi there,

I have been reading these forums with great interest but I am also confused with conflicting information!

I have my own white label website selling adult items, this has been a part time hobby for me and not been making much money but as my health is getting worse and I may have to give up my full time job I need to get more serious about my site.

The question is what should I do first to get it noticed and drive lots of traffic to it (would be customers only).

I do not have a lot of money to spend so I'm looking for FREE ideas or a very small spend.

Any help would be appreciated.

i am guessing / may be wrong your from the UK ? anyway your probably going to want to look at a mix of free options.

    bookmarking
    article marketing
    blog posts
    blog replies
    forum participation
any free ad sites you can find that accept adult toys

and the list goes on, probably also look at some paid advertising with a % of profits for a boost as well.

    cheers

I would just do adwords if I had the cash.
Or even print advertising. Like local
      newspapers, magazines, etc.

Now I know that costs money.

The thing is, unless you are very patient and
have a lot of time, paid traffic is the way
      to go.

Many people fail because they don't have the
money, or do not want to spend money.

The normal "free" ways most of us do things, does
not transfer to adult toys very well.

I don't think you could do squidoo anymore, but
      ezinearticles may.

Paul's advice is also very good, you seem very very new so maybe just learn one step at a time or look around for a mentor / coach but that will also cost you money.

other than that read read and read all you can here
best of luck with your project.

    ... omg

guys - have you heard about traffic from YouTube?... i'm too sleepy to write about it now.

suggestion - if you are new to IM and seo - forget it otherwise you will just loose ££ and self-respect.

this market is full with sharks, crocs and other demons with supernatural seo skills

.. yes, i'm there as well..
