Imagine you start working for a medium sized Internet marketing company (that gets paid on CPA offers within their network of sites) that historically has had little spend within PPC. They have a large budget set aside for it and they know that PPC has the potential to be the #1 revenue & traffic driver if implemented correctly. Your job is to develop a process and build out a team to make it #1. What steps do you take?

This is my job and I was hoping that you fine folks could give me a few ideas. Right now I am working on researching a compatible PPC management tool (ex: Acquisio, Kenshoo, etc.) that can support larger teams and automate many of the tasks. Then I need figure out how to separate the tasks to allow for multiple managers.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you've taken on a job you're totally unqualified for.

Not a good place to be.

Might be best for all concerned if you sub-contracted the work out to an Adwords management company.

That's a tough position to be in, and as owner of an AdWords management company, I can tell you that building a good team was TOUGH. My best people are the ones I hired who had zero AdWords experience, and I taught them from scratch. It took a long time but they do the best work now.
