No. Not true at all. I've used CTR theme for what? 6 months? I got my first adsense check by using CTR theme. All that matters is that you have some dope a** content. Sorry, I'm tired of hearing the word "unique content."

I too got my first check and many others after that, using adsense pro ultimate CTR Theme. So far so good, I get around 6% CTR on some of my sites.

Anyone else having that much CTR from this theme?

Google's policy is really simple but people tend to misunderstand: if you have quality, unique material, they'll like you regardless of what you do otherwise. OTOH, if you just put up junk to create these pages then you'll end up banned.

You only need to make sure the ads are separated from your content enough. In other words it can't look like you're tricking visitors into clicking the ads.

nope, unless you position the ads in such a way that is violating the adsense policies

I believe in "content is king". Do you think google will ignore a CTR theme site with great, useful, unique content?
I like CTR theme because ads are embedded perfectly, would not break style, look and feel, and the CTR is in reasonable range.
If you do not care about CTR, but focus on content, I believe google doesn't care what theme you use, if the theme looks perfect with your content.

I don't think. You should try to show your valuable content than ads. Make privacy policy page and contact us page. I have seen many users have CTR theme blogs with adsense.

They wont ban you but you may be penalized a little bit if you have a bunch of ads or not much content above the fold

Google will not ban you for a theme. You will get ban for unusal CTR. And low quality contents are prime reason of getting too high(unusal) CTR.
