Will 2 ads above the fold hurt me?

Hi,

If I put 2 Adsense ads above the fold (one under my navigation bar and one before each post), will that hurt my rankings?

I know Google doesn't like Adsense ads, but will 2 ads be too much?

Thanks

No. Google doesn't like adsense ads? Where in the world are you hearing this from? Lol. Adsense IS from Google. Two ads won't hurt. Three ads won't hurt. Just have some dope a** quality articles.

I assume you're referring to the recent algorithm update. Two ads are fine but make sure to some content around them.

When somebody first alluded to the idea that google doesn't like to many ads above the fold I had a feeling people would become paranoid about it.

Just relax and provide a good experience to your visitors. If you can do that with two ads above the fold, then do it. If you can't provide a good visitor experience with two ads above the fold, then don't put two ads above the fold.

Just think about your visitors and you'll probably be okay.

2 ads above the fold is no big deal at all. I do it on most of my niche sites.

If you are forcing your users to click on the adsense ads then google will remove your website from top listing. Try to create user friendly page and keep adding quality content on your website. I recommend, please add your ads below the content or in side bar. The header should look user friendly.

As long as nothing shady is going on like tricking people to click its fine, personally however I always try to have some content above the fold.
