Hello

4 Small Questions from a Noob

1) With yahoo site explorer being down. Is there any way to get backlink info from Google. I currently use either scrapebox backlink tool ( which for some reason stopped as of last week ) or Market Samurai which is bringing back Bing data... gives some insight but,,, google is the key.. How can we get google backlink data.

2) Almost the same as the first... I have been building links a few a day for almost 3 weeks now... How can a I check which ones are getting indexed and which ones are not (besides checking manually)

3) Every how often does Google update PR (Every 3 months? Rolling 3 months etc?) Wondering when I would notice PR change

4) Is there any way to get your Backlinks / Site indexed quicker. I have heard SenukeX has something but seeing as how I am making almost no money so far.. this is not an option at 127 a month.. Is there alteratives that work .

Thanks

    Hi, here after some answers:
    1) I use the Open SIte Explorer which gives you the right to have maximum three reports per day. Otherwise you have to pay for the pro option. I don't know if it gives you all the data but it is the best I found for the moment
    2) I don't have an answer for that. Sorry! I would be glad to see the answer of an expert!
3)According to an article I read PR it updated every 3 to 4 months but sometimes it can takes even a year to see your PR updated. According to the same article, your PR does not matter, what it matter is building good quality back links from other websites with high PR
4)To get your pages indexed quicker I use a pinging tool. Otherwise you can build the site with WP. It pings automatically the new content.

I hope that helps you and I let the experts correct me.

You can use Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch

However it will only give you the amount of backlinks to a webpage and not the whole domain but still a good tool to check your backlinks quickly.

To check what pages have been indexed on your site, just go to the google and type site:yoursitename and it will bring up all the pages indexed on your site.

PR doesn't matter it is just a vanity check but what you it does let you know is if a paticular page has a lot of link juice running through it, which in turn will help your authority on the term your trying to rank for

    1. The only way to get info DIRECT from Google is through Google webmaster tools. This will show you the links Google has found and indexed.

    2. Again, Google webmaster tools is the only way to check if it's indexed, or indexation checking tools like Scrapebox.

    3. It's practically random, but a good average is 2-3 months.

    4. The fastest way is to have a bunch of people on Fiverr tweet or social bookmark it. This will get your site indexed overnight.

Pinging hardly works. Plenty of stuff pings. You need backlinks, period.

google will not reveal all the backlinks that you have been working on. they will only show you a small percent of it. but don't be discouraged if you don't see a list of your backlinks. google knows them but don't show them. so what you should do is just create backlinks. use your traffic rate as indirect gauge whether your backlinks are working already.

You could check it in Google search box by typing "link:yoursite.com" to see how many backlinks URLs that are really considered by Google.

Type "site:yoursite.com" to see how many pages of your website indexed by Google.

I am also using SEO Elite software to check this and it
    contains many more features.

Scrapebox released an updated backlinks tool that will obtain up to 1,000 backlinks per page. If you haven't already obtained it, look under "available add-on's" and install the new version.
