Changed page title 5 days ago but google has not updated.

I changed my page title 5 days ago to a more relevant title but google has not updated it on google search engine.

Yesterday, I checked my site using an external serp checker and saw that my page title has been updated but today I checked again and it has reverted back to old page title.


What could be causing this to happen and how can it be fixed? Thank you.

    Well.. if your site is new, I wouldn't expect Google to update the title quickly. It can take more time (up to 12-14 days)... you may want to add more unique content and solid backlinks from authority websites to speed it up.

    Most likely your getting personalized SERP results in your browser, clear the browser history/cache & don't login to anything when checking the SERPs (use Chrome Incognito).

    The 3rd party software is most likely not looking at personalized SERP results, so your getting mixed results.

    Again, clear the browser history/cache...
