Honest micro site question and comment

In the past 3 months I bought 40 micro niche sites from 3 different members here. I now know I should of only bought a few at a time and got them built up before I jumped in over my head.

My plan was to put 2- 500 word articles on each site per week till they had 20 plus quality content articles. I also thought some 300 and 800 word articles would mix things up. I'm at the point where I am ready to start posting the articles but the themes the different people used to build the sites do not show all the article titles on the main page. My dumb thinking is that if someone comes to the site they should see all the titles so they can browse pages that they want to. My sites now just put article after article down the home page and the adsense ads do not show on those articles unless the click on the "See more" after the first few sentences.

should I change all the themes to something where I have pages and maybe have all the titles go down 1 side of the site?
I would like to have quality sites to be safe in googles eyes and also generate adsense income as well as infolinks. I also wanted to place some affilite or click bank ads once the sites are built up.

Just wondering what some of you are having luck with?

If it's micro-niche, the standard approach is to have one static article on the frontpage. If it's an exact match domain, that article is usually what you want ranked for the exact match keyword. This static front page article could be a "wordpress page", and set to static via Settings > Reading.

Additional articles would be made as regular "posts". They can be listed in your sidebar via a recent posts widget.
