My site tops for the keyword having 12000 searches locally according to google keyword tool. My site gets less than 10 visits daily (google analytics). I cant figure it out. Whats the problem?

Maybe the 12K local traffic is US SERPs & your looking at Google/Pakistan SERPs (your forum location has Pakistan)?

Its for Pakistan. Its more than 100000 in US. I used google US and it also tops there as well. But I can't believe (I'm not signed in to my google account). It just makes me curious.

Have you checked if those search figures are "Broad" or "Exact..?

Exactly, try to use "Exact" type and you will see much lower figures.

Thanks mate! I didn't know about this thing before. Its just 58 visit if I choose exact. What does that mean? Do only 58 people search for the exact keyword? If its true than I wonder another site of mine has 50 local searches/day but my sites gets almost 150 local visitors.

The exact should always be used in these cases as the broad can be over inflated. Google doesn't always give the correct data though... I have sites that bring in a lot more traffic than the keyword tool stated!!

Also make sure if your site comes to #1 for every geo location for that keyword.

You must always target any keyword based on its' exact match type, not the broad match type. Otherwise such confusions may arise at any time.

Try to get a SERP for related keywords (very related to your main one!) and I am sure you will increase your traffic

ALWAYS use "exact match" only. Untick broad and phrase match.

maybe the data was not correct, as you said, it should be lots of visitors, but it didn't. I think that someone doesn't want to check your site. just my personal feeling......

i think your site will top on very low ranking keyword or long tail keyword. Some time you received only local traffic according to your keyword.some keyword gives you not only local traffic but also organic traffic

For relevant traffic, you should link on related niche.
