What's your opinion?
In my opinion they are not still dead but I'm almost sure that Google
going to kill all of them in next panda update.

I don't think so at all. If websites on any particular network get discovered and nailed, all the owner has to do is just dump the old sites and get new ones...then Google is back to square one.

But, as with any business model, they do have to be carefully and intelligently managed.

Blog networks are far too flexible to be killed off...even by Panda.

Now what may happen is some of the major players that are really big and have been investigated or reverse engineered by Google (hypothetically) could take a hit and we may all think that private networks are on the way out, but as long as Google relies on links as a ranking metric, smaller, high powered, private networks will easily adapt and evade detection.

Kinda like organized crime...there will always be people and networks being investigated and getting nailed, but in the end, it is far too lucrative to die out, and to completely eradicate it would result in far too much collateral damage to non-PN-associated websites.

in my opnion these are the networls that will potentially get hurt- those who market themselves a lot looking for thousands of customers, those that are giving away the url's to their customers, those that are consists of too high pr blogs and only high pr blogs, those who doesn't care about traffic to their blogs and those that are not adding a decent amount of blogs every month.
