    There is some plugin here on Wf that converts your duplicate content in some unicode and ASCII values and makes google see your content as unique. I suppose this is what OP is talking about. Moreover its both content and quality that helps build you pagerank. Poorer the content more backlinks you will need .

    PR is generally unaffected by duplicate content. Still, if you want the site to rank properly it's best to avoid duplicate content.

    What you do onpage does not affect PR. PR is a measure of the quality of the incoming backlinks. Duplicate content. Unique content. Doesn't make a lick of difference for PR.

      No. Duplicate content for duplicate content's sake does
      not affect anything much.

      100 pages on the same site, with the same content, done
      in a way to get all 100 pages indexed, hoping to funnel
      traffic or increase the chances of appearing in SERPS is
      an entirely different thing. That's using duplicate content
      to try and shmooze google.

      One could have many different websites with the same
      content...many do.

      Think about it. If duplicate content across the web was bad,
      then nobody would ever go viral. Nobody would repost an
      article. Nobody would repost a news story. Nobody would
      retweet anything. Nor share anything on facebook.

      Duplicate content seems to have so many people upside down.

      I won't even comment on "wordpress" being part of this equation.

    There is no relationship between Page Rank and WP plugin. Link Juice cause PR update. And yes blog/site with duplicate contents gets PR too.

    i dont think their is any relation between pr and wp plugin. you cant get better ranking by using duplicate content but you can get pr 1 or 2

    Duplicate content can definitely hurt any SEO efforts your trying to make if you use too much of it. The more original content you have, the easier time you'll have getting PR without getting penalized.
