QUESTION FOR SEO EXPERTS

Hi warriors !
I want to build a authority site and I want to ask you something. I want to do something like this :
Site name: let say "Animals"

I will have 10-15 categories.

Exemple: "cats"
"dogs"
"rabbits" and so on.

Each category will have 10-15 posts.

One category will look like this:

"Cats": post : "white cats"
post : "grey cats"
post : "black cats"

When you click on "cats" category I will set to show the entire article "White cats", and below excepts with all the posts from "cats" category. "cats" category will be like a mini site and all the posts from this category will link back to the primary post ( White cats), to make it stronger.
And I will set every category like this: I will set permalinks %category%postname%. I will set : index follow for category page.
My questions is :
If I show one entire article in "cats" category ("white cats") I will have duplicate content ?
Is good to set permalinks : %category%postname% ? Or should I set it %postname% ?
What do you think about this strategy?

Thank you !

If the site is truly going to be that broad, then I would suggest using the category and the post name.

Yes, you will have a duplicate content with the same article twice on the same blog. I would suggest having a different article on the category page (tied very close to the category).

      Thanks!
Do you think that is better to show only excepts in my categories ? And if I want to make a post stronger, just to link back for the other posts (from the same category of course) without to show that entire post on my category?

Linking from within your posts / pages will help you out considerably. I would not limit yourself to only linking from within category.

You can do excerpts or titles only, I think that would be a personal preference as long as the excerpt was short.

Your plan/niche is too broad. But still feasible. I prefer using %postname% permalink.

No, this will not be considered as duplicate content. Google somehow come to know about the article snippet on category page and hence does not count them as duplicate content.
