Hey All; www.dealingwithanxiety.ws

Looking for someone to help me I sent an email to google I went to run some ads and apparently my site was suspended and they said this..

"Jeff, please know that while reviewing your site, specialists found it to be in potential violation of our site policies and guidelines and therefore, your site has been temporarily disabled.

However, I've submitted an evaluation request for your website.
Specialists will conduct a thorough investigation of your site and get back to me within the next 3 business days. I will write back to you about the status of your site as soon as I hear from them."

can anyone see a reason why an anxiety blog would be banned??

? it may be the nature of the content in that any one could claim to fix anxiety, but google probably keep a close eye on what could easily turn into snake oil remedies and that may have triggered a switch ( I am not making that call with you ).

Even though the privacy page is there / about us, terms , site map ? all are really covered so that looks fine, the ad I guess is the leader or the response your looking for and that does look to go to a squeeze but again you have placed the ad well, ? it may be where it leads is being picked up but i doubt that

the line of text at the bottom for test has the wrong URL in that it leads to the home page and not the test

Adsense on those articles ? I never really buy anything where on one hand people pay to send people to a site with adwords but then go hey just in case try this ? if it were me no adsense on the site at all.

I may be missing other stuff so content, the bad link at the bottom, more support pages, adsense , the banner ad but having a hard time nailing it, but google should if you ask for a report give you a cryptic reply that may help further.

If it does come back rejected just ask again for more information so that you can correct it and repeat until fixed.

Well the link at the bottom points to the home page cause thats the name of the site I had given it.. as far as content goes all unique articles and none sell the idea I can FIX anxiety but suggest there are other ways to handle it.. all these articles are from my own experiences dealing with anxiety over the last 20 years of my life.. I was able to overcome it from a product simliar in nature to panic away and over looking this product it's the same method I used so it felt like a good venue to use.. I don't understand it but I'll report back here when google replied to me..

Where did that message come from? Webmaster Tools ? Adsense?

It seems fake to me and doesn't resemble any of the standardized messages that google sends out. Another flag, is that they are addressing you by name.

Your site, itself does appear to be de-indexed. If you want it back, add it to Webmaster Tools and file a reconsideration request after fixing whatever you did to cause it.

Personally, I'd just go register a new domain and move the content over. And lose the ws extension - go .com preferably or .net, .org.

Well I went .ws cause I wanted a keyword rich domain, one that couldn't be obtained in a .com .org .net - ahow that message first came to me when I tried to launch adwords - the ads were getting denied, then I emailed them and that was the reply..

I even went as far as creating another domain defeatpanictoday.com to redirect affiliate offers though.. so that the main site didn't have any affiliate links direct off it

      Hi solidsoul,

Your website clearly offers health/medical related advice. You need to provide a clear indication of your medical credentials before AdWords will approve ads on such a website.

You should provide verifiable information about your medical credentials if you hope to get that website approved.

Seriously; I don't offer anything more than my thoughts on the subject based on my own experiences... isn't that good enough? I've lived with it and overcome it? wow thats crazy

Better Yet I've seen alot of sites out there similar in nature...are you telling me these sites are all backed up by medical disclaimers? dealingwithanxiety.net for example I can only assume that if they won't run the site on the adwords platform they won't index it either is that the case?

The word I am looking for completely escapes me, but it may be an idea to add a document to the site that states that any medical advice provided is your opinion only, and should not be followed without seeking medical advice from a professional etc etc. There will be plenty of templates online.

Edit: Disclaimer was the word I was looking for!

Also, while the site is not thin, or with poor quality content, it is still a MFA site. Include things like: Facebook/Twitter interaction, a forum, something interactive.

Also pages with outgoing links to relevant websites will distinguish you from being a MFA. Things like "5 Best Places to get free anxiety advice" etc.

Appreciate the reply - I'll add a disclaimer makes sense! as far as MFA whats that?

My guess is that somewhere on your site, there is suspected false information. Any site dealing with curing or helping people with ANYTHING dealing with medial care issues are closely examined. A lot more so then lets say, an Amazon review site.

You really can't blame them. I wouldn't want my multi-billion dollar company siding with a site that could potentially lead to someone's death due to false information. And I'm not saying your site could do that but I would think it definitely falls into that category.

Understood completely, I believe the disclaimer will help! also when taking the test that was created by me - also says that it's not too be used as any sort of diagnosis but yes I agree with everyone... but the question stands if a disclaimer don't do the trick what will? how else is one to market a medical product

The only thing I can think of is to make an awesome looking site. The people at Google who review these sites are human just like you and me. If you make the site look super elegant and very informative, they probably won't want to review it in-depth.

So if that doesn't work, just make it look as professional as you can and ask others what they think before sending it to Google. Appearance is everything now that platforms like WordPress make site building so easy a caveman could do it.

How is the site monetized? At first glance, with nothing.

That alone makes no sense to spin it on adwords.

But at second glance, the site looks to funnel people to
an affiliate. One that says, stop panic attacks in minutes.

Why on earth would you think that site would fly on
      adwords?

You also have a sample anxiety test. One that you cannot
get the results unless you submit a name and email address.

Again, are you not reading anything on adwords? Harvesting
emails like that is certainly not accepted.

3 red flags. We have medical, we have clickbank or other
affiliate product, and we harvest emails. You need a whole
lot more "stuff" in order for you to harvest emails like that.

If people would just look, well, I guess the WF would be empty.

Well I wanted to give more information on what has unfolded here the last day.. so ever since I had tried to run adwords it started - prior to that webtools I had 12 of my pages indexed and now today I have zero... what a shame

Well thanks for your input Paul - Every single site I'm been on regarding taking any kinda of test be it anxiety, stress or whatever else all dictate the same principle enter your information and we'll email you your results... the other thing paul is that you can offer thoughts on fixes rather than just bashing everything I have done thus far.. might not seem like much to you friend but for me I have put alot of time into it so offering help is why I was here in the first place.. so to answer your statement about

"Why on earth would you think that site would fly on
    adwords?"

    well, paul I guess I didn't know...

I just read the adwords policy on medical and one thing that I'm curious about is that last year around this same time I had a site dedicated to depression... same kinda setup and had no issues with that site... so is it safe to say that this site will always be banned? I mean at the end of the day I'm not a doctor these opinions are my own.. if it's banned from use of adwords does that mean I can't gear for organic traffic?

and one more thing for PAUL; how do you suggest I go about getting email address would it make more sense to offer something with the submission of their information in return then show the results

Well, I gotta give you credit for wanting to still do it.

Anyway, thought I would post the exact policy I was talking about,
        as far as email "harvesting."

"Google doesn't allow the promotion sites that collect personally identifiable information to obtain the results of a survey or quiz."

They give examples of what you can do, and what not to do.
You have to read between the lines, as they can't give every
        scenario.

You also have to give the following, if collecting just emails:
Describe what personal information is collected.
Describe how this information will be used by the company.
Describe how this information will be transferred to third party companies.
Provide instructions on how users can modify or delete their personal information.
Provide instructions on how users can opt-out of future communications.

        You can read more here:
Information harvesting - Advertising Policies Help

The thing is, you need a very fat information site, and have a newsletter.
Put the link to the newsletter on the first page. That's the best way I've
        seen for email harvesting.

I've also seen sites offer a free pdf download. No email, nothing. Just
a link to the ebook, but the ebook has of course links.

If I do a search for raising chickens, livingthecountrylife.com
comes up. The ad clearly states, a free guide to raising chickens.

Check out livingthecountrylife.com. They have a free email newsletter
button top and center. Click on that, then you see a link to their
        privacy policy.

Medical is a very, very tough sell on adwords. You really have to
know someone. If you could think outside the box, and change
the site from medical to something else, but still get that anxiety
thing in there, well, who knows.
