I have a PR 3 blog at wordpress.com, like xxxxx.wordpress.com, there is an option available at wordpress.Com to transform your blog to a xxxxxx.com domain.
Would i lose the juice link coming at my web site, or wordpress.com does a 301 redirection automatically ??

Thanks

If you Google it there are a lot of guides but I have never done it personally. The question I am having is what are you trying to accomplish by changing the domain? Are you looking to brand your page, make it easier for people to come back or trying to boost SEO?

The fact is you have a PR 3 blog hosted somewhere else. You could buy a domain, setup a new WordPress/hosting and link your old PR 3 WordPress blog to the new website. Basically you could create a lot of decent quality backlinks easily from your own entity but Google sees it as someone else.

In the end you would mainly be releasing content on your domain and a post here or there on your wordpress.com blog if you could maintain both which shouldn't be too tough.

I will add this, any time there is a change like you plan to make, there is always at the very least a minor disruption in SEO.

Why don't you keep that blog to continue working with it and start a brand new domain. The old one will help you get indexed easily by google for your new blog/site and will help you increase easy your PR

It's a cooking website 3 years old with thousands of quality backlinks, and 400 uv/day. The goal is make it more professional and to rank for important keywords

Yes once you do the domain mapping, it will do a 301 redirect to the TLD.

The 301 will ensure your blog moves with minimal damage to traffic and without loosing all your link juices and whatnot.

It seems that you don't have the right to make 301 to your personal blog
