Google PPC, Affiliate Marketing, and Niche Sites

Hello Fellow Warriors!

So I've been racking my brain for the past few days trying to figure out how to properly promote a CB product as an affiliate (from scratch).

I aim to use Google PPC.

I aim to create a niche site.

The questions are:

What kind of page do I direct the traffic to? I've been told that you can't use google PPC to direct traffic to a page with an affiliate link on it, So I've been thinking about using a free giveaway, build a list, and then market the product.

I'm going to be directing the traffic to a blog, a story about how the product helped me solve a problem.

Looking to hope my first affiliate marketing venture a successful one,
Cheers - James

I wouldn't use a blog. Get your own website, get an autoresponder, host a squeeze page on there, generate leads, and then sell them on your affiliate product this way.

Monitor your sales from using Adwords. Since you probably don't know what the average lifetime value of a customer is in your business... you will want to either make money on the initial sale, or just break even. If you can't do either one of these 2 things... then you may want to swap Google PPC with something else.

I don't use google ppc but before you just jump right in with a brand new site I would wait until that site is a bit more established. Build up the content on the site, do your SEO, get the backlinks, etc. I suggest trying to use the Bing Adcenter before Google Adwords when you do PPC.
