Hi,

I am looking to buy a new hosting account. Can you please share and advise about Godaddy 4GH hosting? Should I buy it?

Please suggest any host otherthan hostgator and bluehost in the same price range.

Thanks in advance.

What problems have you been having with your current hosting that you are looking into Godaddy's 4GH hosting? I never recommend using godaddy for hosting.

I don't have any problem with my current host. I already have account with hostgator and bluehost and looking for a third one. I am looking for similar hosts with cPanel.

Godaddy doesn't use CPanel for their hosting accounts. I do actually use the 4GH and I use Hostgator.

I am not 100% sure of the technology hostgator uses for their servers. But with Godaddy they use cluster servers to distribute load across them all instead of just 1 or 2. And it continues to do that to make sure that your load times are good.

I have never once had Godaddy complain to me about over usage of resources where I have had to upgrade several times with Hostgator for that issue. And the funny thing is, all my sites use the same platform with the same plugins for each site.

Godaddy is perfect for domain registration, but don't go for a hosting with them. If you need a reliable hosting provider, go for HostGator. They are the best!!!

Your best bet is to stay away from GoDaddy & BlueHost for hosting. BOTH are known for overloading & poor hosting service.

If you're used to slow & overloaded servers & companies that don't provide good features, backups being one of them, then you'll be ok with them. Do a little more research before making your decision.

If you have any questions, let me know!

I'm usually not a big fan of anything go daddy. But about a year ago I was buying a dozen or some domains and they offered me a free six months of 4G hosting, so I took it. I put three sites I really don't care about on it.

Two months later I check on my stats in google webmaster tools. The site speed were three times fast than the VPS I had the sites on in the past. So I put some time into those sites on the go daddy package and the rankings shot up. Not that site speed is everything, but it did help.

The only thing is if you rely on emails going out north of 2000 a day, stay away from go daddy, they blow when it comes to that.
