Is It Possible to out Rank Amazon Since The Panda Update ?

Just wanted to ask if anyone has been able to out rank amazon for a product keyword since the panda updates ?

    Yes, I outrank them on 1 that I know of. Possibly quite a few more but I'd have to check.

      Not really.

      I don't think Panda changed that much for people who have well written, detailed information on their products (minimum 700 words, preferably 1000+) and relatively white hat backlinking strategies. My sites haven't really been affected by any of google's updates.

    Most of the amazon product pages are not optimized at all for the keywords we want to rank for so they are not that hard to beat unless there are a lot of affiliates giving the page a lot of do follow links.

    You won't believe how many do follow affiliate links i find to some of the amazon product pages.

    You can outrank Amazon as long as you provide quality content on your website. I've outranked it for most of my sites.

    It's relatively easy to outrank Amazon pre/post Panda. I've held page 1 rankings for various Amazon products for about 9 months now with very little change in rankings (#1 for two main keywords)
