Hi there,

I am new to this thread.
I would like to enquire about this problem that I am having

I have a new website that went online 2 weeks ago.
Indexed by Google 3 days after.
Then the usual link building by spreading links here and there by the SEO guy in my team
There are approximately 200 links with certain anchor text pointing to my index (home) page.

In the first week, my site went to page 1 #7
It stayed there for 1 week
However, 4 days ago it dropped to page 2.
3 days ago I requested Fetch GoogleBot from Google Webmaster.
And 2 days ago, the index (home) page disappeared.

I can still see it displayed in Google using "site:website" search though.

What do you think causes my homepage to disappear?
Is it because of Fetch GoogleBot?
or is it because of too much backlinks?
or is it because all of the backlinks are using 1 certain keyword?
or is it because the website is new and Google is now stop boosting it and recalculating things?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
r

Usually when you disappear from Google it means you did something they don't allow.

Did you try contacting them? I guess this is a long shot but only them can give you the exact reason.

It's annoying when they do things without letting you know.

I have not contacted them since some part of me still believes that this might be a little Google disco-dance, and this has happened before once for a few hours (i forgot to mention it above)
But I might contact them if this is still happening for 1 week. I hope that's not too long...
Oh btw, my Google Webmaster shows no error and no warning at all.

I have just realised that one of my friends put a backlink in his website to my new site sitewide, and his website has over 9000.. over 20000 pages.

His website is about business and finance
My website niche is about property and real estate

Do you think this might 'kill' my site?
