Linking to my own site?

Hi all, I was wondering is it worth linking my sites to each other?
I was going to place my sites in the blogroll on each of them but because both are hosted under the same account in hostgator will that make linking to each other as pointless?
Hope that makes sense.

Blogroll links are not usually something people want! Big footprints there

Completely agreed with Sovereignn, If all of your site hosted on same ip then according to me its not advisable thing to do.

Linking back to each other from same hosting is almost pointless. But just in case you have additional IPs purchased then they might be little valuable.

Again, if your sites are highly relevant to each other then blogroll links wont harm your search reputation.

    - Linking with same IP address is useless. For just promote your other web it is fine, just use "rel=nofollow".

    - Link should have relevant content.

If you are linking sites from SEO and ranking point of view, I would suggest not to do it. Because it won't have any impact on your PR or SERPs, as you are linking to the same IP/hosting account.

If you are only linking to divert traffic from 1 site to another, go ahead.

    Good day,

Try to host your websites on different host.

It will look spammy. Get links from different domains hosted in different hosts.

If the sites are on a related topic, it is no worse than internal links on a single site. It won't be worth much, but it won't hurt you either.

Makes sense, linking from the same IP would be pretty useless.

Google would think you made a Backlink to your own website.

Whether the links are from the same IP or not makes no difference at all, there is some really bad advice on these forums.
