GOOGLE - The Ultimate Dictatorship and Authoritarianism

Hello Warriors,

What was the name of the specific legislation that said that Google
was the all powerful determinate of our future?

Does anyone know where within the language of the Sherman
anti-legislation Google is allowed to become the only game in town with "ABSOLUTE" power?

I didn't say dictator...

Where are the checks and balances?

If it wasn't Sherman - When did the federal government give Google carte blanche
to become the ultimate authority over you and I?

Who voted in Google?
When was the election?

By what proxy?

Danni~

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

This post is so full of BS rhetoric and fallacy it's hard to imagine that anyone in their right mind wrote it.

Google is not "authoritarian" because by definition, someone who is authoritarian would have to have the AUTHORITY to enforce something upon someone else.

The sole reason that Google is the market leader is NOT because they have government-backed power or monopoly power. In fact, right now there are literally hundreds if not thousands of other search engines online that any Google user is free to switch over to in the blink of an eye.

The reason Google has a commanding market share is simply because they provide a better service than everyone else. That is all. And they have been providing that better service for years now, which is why they've grown so large and become a de facto part of the definition of the Internet.

But just like Myspace died when Facebook replaced it, Google could also die as soon as a new start up comes along with something that is the "next evolution" of search engines. Maybe someone will invent something that finds what you are looking for without you even needing to tell the computer what to search for. Who the hell knows.

But one thing that is important: Until someone else comes along with a better product, Google will be the leader simply because they are the best out there. They are the leader because people choose to use their services out of their own free will, which goes against the entire definition of authoritarianism (ie being "forced" to do something).

If you must criticize anyone, criticize the people who use Google, not Google itself. But even criticizing them wouldn't make any sense, would it? After all, they're just using the best service that they can find, which makes perfect sense.

Anyone that thinks Google has a monopoly on search, have a look at Baidu (BIDU).

The only reason I own stock in Baidu is because the Chinese Gov. has allowed them to create a real monopoly on search, you know, it's a pride thing.

Not to mention Google pulled out of the country, basically surrendering the market to them.

Google wasn't a gift or an fortunate son. It was created by great ideas and hard work. If you want a vote in search engine domination, build a better one.
