Suppose you post a comment in a blog and you just put your email as John@domain.com Would this give domain.com a backlink?
#backlink #count #emails #john@domaincom

Ummm...so the email address that you provide would actually link to your website?

Probably not, if you clicked the email address link (essentially what google bot does when it goes through links) it would take you to your email program to compose a new email, furthermore your email is hidden when you post a comment on a blog.

Like already said it's not a backlink, it simply opens the default email program on your computer.

You could use the anchor-text for whatever reason as a backlink, like this.

    John@domain.com

Just be warned though that spam bots will pick up that email sooner or later. Do you really want to deal with unnecessary spam in your emails inbox?

They are NOT a backlink. They are just another domain like yahoo.com for example.. Emails in the format "name @ domain.com" just give you more personality and show people that you own domain.com, but NOTHING more...
