    simple answer is, its near to impossible to get a high PR with just doing onpage SEO. But eventually what happens is , when you do a good onpage SEO and having good content, others tempt to link to your website and PR juice passes and thus you get a high PR.

    So for high PR you need backlinks from high PR websites

    These are the basic and most important techniques,
    - Include well-researched keywords in appropriate density
    - Include meta tags, ALT tags, H1 tags
    - Develop a strong internal linking strategy
    - Place anchor text properly
    - Optimize title by placing target keywords in the title
    - Include a sitemap
    - Include fresh, unique content
    - Improve page loading speed
    - Optimize images and videos properly

    You can increase PR by getting quality backlinks... On page alone won’t give you high PR.

        There are some tips on on page SEO.
        Meta tag optimization: Mean your content H1, H2, H3 tags. there must be your keyword in it.
        Keyword Analysis: Analysis your keyword its search globally, its competition
        Key Word Density:In 500 word content your keyword should be not more than 3 times. other wise it will be considered as blackhat.
        Image Optimization: your image should be saved by the name of your anchor text or keyword.

    Good to see Panda is doing it's job. :p OP. focus on writing unique content (forget keyword density...) and create some strong internal link structure, especially to your money pages.

    And please, avoid using Analytics.
