What Are Deep Links and Why You Should Build Them

What are deep links?
Deep links are basically links that goes to the inner pages of a website.
Importance of deep linking
The main reason I want to bring this topic up is, of course, because it is a really important SEO factors and will bring YOU money.
First of all, and it’s becoming more important than ever, deep linking is just so important to make your website looks natural. Fact is, any quality website should (and is) getting backlinks to its inner pages. A website that doesn’t have any links pointing to its inner pages really looks spammy to search engines, period. As warriors probably already know, each links equal to a vote and when “votes” are sent to inner pages, it definitely sends a positive signal to Google (quality content).
Another important point to deep linking is that it shows search engines the relevance of each page for specific keywords. It would obviously be impossible to optimize a website homepage for 10’s of keywords. However, a standalone page optimized (on-page) for its own keyword is definitely easier to optimize and rank. When deep linking to that page (both external and internal links, see my post on internal linking), your website will probably rank faster/easier for the term your specifically targeting.
And last, and more importantly, deep linking is just such a strong way, combined with proper internal linking, to help you boost specific pages. Why try to send hundreds of links to your homepage and “hopefully” rank for that highly competitive keyword, when you can links to your inner pages, GET RANKED for less competitive keywords along the way ($$$) and eventually rank for that term as your website now has way more authority/trust.
