Anyone Requesting Immediate Removal Of BMR Links

BMR says we can permanently remove all BMR links, anyone doing this?

I recently had a site de-indexed shortly after using BMR, I requested reconsideration from Google, I wonder if I should have the BMR links removed before they review it.

I used BMR on 5 sites and only one was de-indexed so it may not even be the cause.

    They are shutting the sites down so chances are you won't even have to ask.

    The letter does not say that they intend to take down the remaining blogs. I don't expect they will continue to pay hosting and domain renewals for a service they are no longer offering. Just wondering if I should take action to get the links removed before Google reviews my site or wait it out.

    Might as well, at the moment it seems all they'd do is hurt you. Especially in the long run

    Fwiw, I just posted this somewhere else:

    Links from a de-indexed site have zero ranking value.

    Whatever help BMR links contributed to your rankings will disappear.

    In addition, it wouldn't be out of the questionfor Google to penalize sites linking to the network.

    I don't have any BMR links. However if I did, I would immediately remove them. Then I would focus on building quality links through guest blogging, Web 2.0 sites, social web sites, good article directories and 'share' sites (document sharing, slide sharing, etc.), video sites, etc.

    I requested for all links to be removed, but who knows if it will be done in a speedy fashion. I am sure they have received an avalanche of requests.

    I've requested that they remove all of my links. It probably won't happen quick enough though.

    As proof, I just got a couple of "notice of unnatural links" messages in WMT this afternoon as well. It's all about to hit the fan I'm afraid...

    Just keep in mind if you do you won't have any access to the content you've written yourself or paid for. They posted an update alluding to this point;

    "We plan on adding a function that will allow you to download all of your live, pending and queued posts so that this content can be used elsewhere. Details will be forthcoming."

    Surely removing links now is too late? The links will have already been identified by Google if that's what they had wanted to do just before de-indexing. You are just going to have to take the hit of losing links en masse, and just hope that there isn't a penalty to follow on top of that.
