Best SEO Strategy TODAY?

Now that Google has been cracking down on BMR, ALN, etc. what is the best method to move your site up the rankings?

Will backlinks eventually be outdated? Will Google make a search engine smart enough to "read" consistent, quality content on websites?

    The may make their search engine smarter and smarter over time but they can never fully automate something like that. Look at all the people automating their blogs and how their content turns out. Backlinks will play a part in ranking for a long time - maybe not forever but definitely for quite awhile.

      Best SEO method now seems to be just doing everything manual...blog comments, guest posts, social bookmarks, press release, etc.

    Just don't use all the popular services out there and for the love of God, create your own bots!

    If you know PHP or some other language do it in that, otherwise get ubotstudio.

    Small scale, high quality links. Using you own web 2.0 sites, blog comments, submit to 20 top quality directories, 20 top quality article directories. Guest post on 10 top domains.

    Anything 'mass' is out; no mass forum profiles, no mass Xrumer blasting, no mass article submissions, no mass links from blog networks.

    Do the same things as before but on a more refined selective basis, quality counts not quantity.

    Do things manually since these automated services tend to destroy any SEO campaign. Indeed, doing things manually is a pain in the arse but it deliver great results.

    Backlinks as a measure of quality will probably always be part of the Google Algorithm.

    Since Google will always require an algo to measure worth, the system will always be flawed.

    The backlinks you refer to getting de-indexed are paid links which has always been frowned upon by Google.

    Just continue linkbuilding and you'll be fine.

    I suspect people will begin building their own private blog networks on unique C-class IPs and building those properties PR. Over time you can have a strong network and control it. That's what a lot of us are doing.

    Also, it's back to basics and diversity. Quality wins.

    Isn't it obvious?

    High PR private blog networks are the way of the future.

    If they didn't work for rankings then Google would not have manually de-indexed a service link BMR which was successfully ranking it's users websites.
