What I Never Understood About Blog Networks

I have used several blog networks and the results I got were excellent. What I never understood though is when you use a high pr blog network such as build my rank your post only stays on the high pr page for a day or two then it falls off to a page with no pr. Once it falls off the high pr page isnt the backlink almost useless? (pr0) In theory wouldn't a PR blog comment with low obl be better since these stick on the page with the pr?

I believe that attraction to link networks such as build my rank was that they provided a large quantity of diversified links to your site. Yes, your post drops of the homepage after a few days, but you're constantly getting new homepage posts with high PR. It doesn't matter much now anyway since these sites are being deindexed left and right.

A link can fall off of the front page of a site without reducing the link value. Once a link gets indexed in google, that instantaneous snapshot in time of that cached link on the front page is all you need.

Even if the link was only there for 2 seconds, if google recognized the link there in that time frame the link is accounted for. I've tried this on numerous sites that i own and links coming off the page didn't hurt anything.

Realistically that's what happens to good sites that constantly have new content. The old content is pushed off and new fresh content is ready to be viewed. Think of most authority sites that produce content. Most of their content comes in fresh quite often pushing the old content off the homepage.

In brief, you shouldn't worry about the link fall off.

Google won't notice it fell off until the next visit. It could be a long time in between visits. People who kept on posting kept on getting the benefit.
