Hey all, I was wondering if some can recommend some quality gigs on fiverr for a 1 week website.

Thanks.

I wouldn't throw any fiverr gig at a 1 week old website, unless it was a custom header. Put up more quality onsite content, build a few quality links, have patience.

No way would I point Fiverr gigs at a brand new site unless you're not worried about any long term issues.

If you're trying to rank for a trending term and don't care, then fine, they may help give you a quick boost. But that's about the only time I'd point Fiverr gigs at a new site.

I agree with the other posters...drive some traffic to your site through adwords and do some manual link building yourself before you employ larger scale back linking strategies.

It seems everyone has given fiverr the stereotype of being a spammy service. Not all fiverr services are like that.

How about a service that creates 30 social bookmarks to top SB sites for $5? That's not something that a new site should be warned to avoid if OP was going to build 30 social bookmarks to those same sites anyways. For $5, that's worth it in my opinion.

I guess the easier way would have been OP to ask what kind of backlinks he should be building to his new site instead of what fiverr gigs he should be ordering, so that he knows what he's looking for.

Also, and I know this sounds like a really old method, why not join and post @ some active niche related forums? Spend 15-20 minutes a day and you'll drive some pretty decent traffic through your sig. (If the forums themselves have a lot of traffic.)

    It's old. But it works.

Yep. some of the Fiverr gigs would be safe. Read the comments left by previous buyers carefully though. I've been saved from some costly mistakes by being sure to read them all. Many are left by the seller themselves through dummy accounts to gain some cred when starting out.

If you are going to do it, do so in moderation. Do not slam the site, a small link wheel/pyramid would work, social bookmarking, small amount of edu blog comments, regular blog comments. But I would not do them all at once. As with all link building you want it to look natural, so ordering multiple gigs at one would hurt you in the long run.
