Get Domain With No Site Listed In Google? Is it possible?

I am just wondering if it is possible or anyone has done it? What I am thinking of is promotion a few different affiliate programs, such as Clickbank, but buying a domain and just forwarding it to the affiliate link. I would market the domain using diffierent strategies, such as social marketing, commenting, articles, and all the usuals. Some of that may drive traffic but I am wondering if it is possible to get organic search traffic to the domain.

The pages I would forward to are going to be the products landing/squeeze page. I could try and target some of the same keywords that page is using. I am just wondering how the seo is affected with the fowarded/parked domain.

Thanks!!

Yes it's possible. But dont expect it to rank.

I think it was January that one of the changes they made it difficult to rank parked / redirected domains.

I just went but I don't get it. What good is the website with just a word?

When you say don't expect it to rank, are you talking about Page Rank? That is okay, I figured that wasn't possible, I am more thinking about SERP.

No not talking about Page rank.

So unless I build a site around the domain, I can pretty much forget organic search engine traffic, correct?

I wouldn't waste time building something that Google doesn't want in their index. You might get away with it now, but sooner or later they'll come around to you.

The point is that there is no point, and yet it ranks. If you want to rank a site with little content then you'll want to use exact match domains. It can be done.
