Smallish privateish network

Hey Folks,

Given what is going on with Big G and BMR, etc... I'm curious what you think about this idea.

1. Build 5-10 niche websites all related to the same topic. For example, main keywords could be: dogs, dog collars, poodles, dog food, etc...

2. To start add 10+ articles of unique content

3. Call them sibling sites and have them all interlink via blogrolls, reference in posts every now and then.

I have a few keywords in the same industry that it would make sense. I would, of course, include different type of back links from different sources onto each site.

What do you think? Do you think this would this qualify as a network and G would crush it?

Thx

Not quite understanding the context, but if you mean build 5-10 sites and then have them support the money site, meaning those 5-10 sites are acting as "pumper" sites, then having them interlink to each other screams a huge footprint.

If you build supporting sites you should keep them independent of each other. Also, unless you buy high PR domains there's really no reason not to have those supporting sites be just lenses on squidoo or some other site like that. Squidoo is far cheaper than hosting 10 domains.

You'll also want to be sure to host your sites on different servers.

A free option is to just create a bunch of wordpress or other hosted blogs and do it that way, however I am not sure if these would be as 'impactful' as actual 'hosted' sites would be
