Why no ranking in Yahoo & Bing?

I've got a blog (none IM niche) which is around 5 months old. I post on it regularly, originally once or twice a week, now around 5 times per week. Google seems to really like the site so far, and indexes new posts within minutes. The site as a whole is steadily climbing up the Google SERP's, and I'm generally happy with the overall progress so far.

The problem is with Bing and Yahoo. I get absolutely no traffic from either search engine. None of my keywords rank in their results at all (as far as i can see). I know Yahoo and bing can be a bit slower than G, but 5 months down the line and I think I should be seeing something more positive from them.

Is there anything I can do to encourage better results from the likes of Yahoo & Bing?

Any advice or tips appreciated. Thanks.

I have found it very hard to rank new sites on Yahoo and Bing. I think they put more emphasis on domain/site age than Google does.

The more links I have been adding to my newest site, the more I am climbing the SERPs, but not as fast as I am climbing Google.

Make sure that you have everything set up in their webmaster section. I had the same problem and spent some time working on the problems that it was telling me. I saw a change in the rankings shortly there after. I will say I am not the biggest fan on them, the way they are doing some things now is a little different, and even with the sites that I have that are ranking well (within the top 3) I still do not get much traffic. I would continue to focus on Google, do what you can to fix errors on Bing and Yahoo, but not devote to much time to it.

I've never really had a problem ranking with them on other sites, and I don't think I've done anything different with this particular blog.

Does Yahoo/bing have a Webmasters section then? I wasn't aware of that.

    Webmaster Tools - Bing

I almost always rank faster on Google than Yahoo/Bing. They're slower at crawling new content, and seem to favor domain age more.

I'm not sure about Bing, buy Yahoo, has an article submitter, and you can put articles to it, it will help you to get ranked for your articles, and your site.

Yahoo voices. Give it a try. And see how it works.

Both of those search engines give a lot of weight to the domain age. Your website should have a high authority and you will rank it very easy. Just building backlinks (as ranking in Google) will NOT help you, you should check the authority of pages...

Usually when big G is ruling entire search engine industry, very less people worry about yahoo & bing :p

Well, I think both of them Yahoo and Bing prefer good content and contextual link building.

They are the same as far as results go and both take much longer than google for results to show up. Try building lots of links to your sites.
