So... has anyone else lost massive rankings with the PBN deindexing?

Just curious - haven't seen much talk about this here.

I had about 5 sites get knocked down in the serps, effectively wiping out my adsense earnings this month. No penalties I don't think - although it is possible the main keywords were penalized - but just losing all those high PR network links has naturally killed my rankings.

I am currently starting new link building campaigns to get these sites re-ranked and am wondering if anyone else finds themselves in the same boat?

My current strategy is to go with a tried and true tier 1 of 2.0 sites (e.g.: wordpress, blogger, live journal), about 10-15 manual article submissions and a few youtube videos. I then plan to beat these sites down with links from: dripFeedLinks, article blast and seNuke X maybe.

Once that is done I may try to buy some guest blog posts or higher quality PR links.

I am hoping this gets my sites re-ranking and earning again.

What about everyone else? If you caught a massive serps drop, what are you doing to get things right on your end?

I also lost ranking on about 10 of my sites with In the past week. All those sites were on the 1st page for a few months and just all of a sudden my traffic went to hell. They need links is all. I have a ton of sites so it was not much of a blow and the sites were only making $10 a day combined. I plan on just dripping quality links to it and hopefully that will get them going again. All my links to those sites came from SEnuke X.

    Hi,

    Sorry to hear that mate.

Sounds like a good start, but remember to diversify as much as possible. Linkbaiting to a strong social following can help a lot too. (IE, create something cool/interesting and try to build buzz on twitter, facebook, etc).

It's actually not that hard to come back from the drops.

I just built some quality links and they've started coming back.

Sure they're not #1 yet but they are back on page one which is a good start

I built a rather large linkwheel for each site, sent blog comments to each web 2.0 in the linkwheel (about 1k to each)

Then built some wikis and High PR comments towards my sites.

I am glad to hear that is working for you - it sounds very similar to my strategy :]

The problem I run into with my adsense sites is that it is really hard to get social following or linkbait going for sites that focus on things that people just aren't very passionate about.

I hope my linkbuilding does help. Unforunately I am still unclear what to do now for that high PR special sauce that BMR used to provide.

  • yep ive lost a lot of rankings, probably dropped down by about 2-3 pages for most keywords so not good at all

im just concentrating on getting some quality content on the sites for the next month or so, see what link building strategies are working for others or see if any new services appear to be working for other warriors and then start link building.

I think for the next few months i will just be doing the following -

    -High Quality Content Creation
    -Guest Posting
-Niche Forum Participation (to increase my referral traffic as i don't want to rely on organic anymore)

My earnings have dropped as well as my ranking as and traffic but this doesnt bother me, i see this as a constant learning process, i have my main income from my job so any extra i make is just a bonus.

Of course my long term goal is to make IM my main source of income but i want to build up some authority sites over the next few years
