the consensus on here seems to be

market samurai or micro niche finder for keyword research

ctr or clickbump or optimize press or thesis for wp theme?

amr or uaw for submitting articles and creating backlinks?

Is that correct, what is the difference between AMR and UAW by the way in terms of what they actually do and is google cracking down on these automated article submission tools?

to simplify the tool choice, it is worth getting a keyword tool, a wordpress theme and some kind of mass article submitter? to expedite the IM process are these the three areas one should invest in? What about social bookmarking and video?

Essentially my question is f you had to invest in just three types of tools, which three do you think would be the most effective for generating traffic to your site/earning cash?

Personally I would save cash and not buy any of those tools.

I don't see how 'picking keywords' and 'generating backlinks' is going to be profitable these days. Google is targeting 'low quality' websites in every new attack.

Focus on investing in website quality instead of tools IMHO.

I appreciate your advice but I am still curious about what people think are the most effective tools out there

Whether a site is low or high quality, you will always need to do solid kw research, simply cause it makes no sense to build for example 200 links while you could rank another keyword with an equal amount of searches with 50 links.

But you don't need kw research tools, you can do it manually just as well, starting with Google Keyword Tool and the Seoquake plugin for Firefox. That's how I always do it.

At Fthemes.com you can get very nice looking WordPress themes, with some sponsored footer links they are free, and when you want to get rid of those links you have to pay $20,-

If I had to buy a tool I would buy ZennoPoster, it allows you to automate all the linkbuilding that you want/need for a onetime fee, it has some learning curve though.

Another usefull tool would be Scrapebox, not with the intention to blast comments but instead for harvesting niche relevant url's where you could place a link, you can filter it on PR and outbound links.

The third "tool" I would get is a subscription to HMA Vpn, so that your IP doesn't get blocked when you leave to many comments (yes even with manual comments you can get flagged by the Askimet spam filter) and it's also great for harvesting url's and mass checking Pagerank.

      Scrapebox is $59,- afaik
      HMA VPN is around $10/month
      Zennoposter >$250,-

UAW costs $69/month, AMR costs $99,- onetime fee. When using AMR you have to harvest your own article directories cause the standard ones that come with it are highly spammed and kind of useless. UAW isn't much better though so if you wanted to spend a monthly amount I would chose LinkVana or LinkAuthority, these don't accept spun content though.

Oh now that we mention spinning, TheBestSpinner is kind of unmissable.
