Keyword Relation vs Niche

Pretty simple question, but I can't seem to ponder it being as tired as I am right now -- so I thought I'd just ask and go to sleep and wake up to see all the wonderful responses by you guys.

Anyways... say for example you're searching a keyword in AdWords keyword tool, something broad like "make money" (just an example). Now, we all know that all forms of internet marketing come into that niche (the making money online niche)... and you could also have some other slightly related niches like "saving money".

The weird part is, Google doesn't have anything with the words "marketing" in the related keywords for "make money online." So, is it worth it building one site based on both those ideas or a separate website for each one? Shouldn't it be basically considered one niche?

Hi futurepocket, marketing is a very broad term, maybe even something such as "internet marketing" which is related to "make money online" could have different information on websites.

If you talk about how to make money online through various methods of internet marketing (and describe the methods), then you can probably put them together.

However, since both topics are so vast, you might get better targeted traffic by talking about one in particular. (for example, "you can make money online by becoming an affiliate, selling clickbank products, etc etc." VS "the hardest part of internet marketing is writing a successful ppc ad... here are some ad tips for a better CTR"). See how it can be separated?

So, do you recommend splitting the traffic over two websites or over two separate sub-pages of the same website -- you think that would work out if it was just split into sub-pages of the same website?

See, whenever you are creating website content, sub domains or merging niches... just think about your audience, if both the niches (which you are planning to put up together)... If your plan is beneficial for the user, Google will accept it too.
