Right, so, I've never used any ppc... I've been looking into it lately.

I'm working with a client who's used it in the past, they had another guy working on it.

In google keyword tool, the cpc for our main keyword is $3.30... but, when I logged into their account, they were paying around .30c...

What gives?

Does this mean that their ads were not apearing on googles homepage?

How do I actually find out the cpc of a keyword?

I remember looking into this a while back for my adsense sites, and aparently there's another number I'm supposed to be looking at...

So... what is the cpc of a keyword?

Cheers

    Hi.
The CPC that you see in GKT is an average CPC for ads showing on the search results pages in Google.
If you have AdSense website you are in Google's Delivery Network (or Content Network I never know how this is called now).
To better know the CPC for AdSense you can:
    1. Go to Cotextual Targeting Tool and check there, this is for Content Network
    2. Check Google AdPreview if your keyword really is showing ads in SERP, this is not direct method to determine AdSense profitability, but this is the closest.
    3. Remember that AdSense is shown to visitors according to their location, if you have many visitors from other countries your profits on AdSense will be lower.

    And the most important thing:
no one can tell you exactly how much you will be making with AdSense, you can only use some kind of scoring system to determine keywords with the best chance of making money
