Not in the first 5 pages in google. On page three on yahoo, not in top 5 pages on MSN.

It the way Google displays results now. Custom results for everyone. You visit the page a lot so Google shows it to you on page 1.

Actually, I can see you ranking at #10 for UK and #13 for US for the 'passive income' search term.

You can try hidemyass web proxy to check your rankings.

I would check where the 12,000 searches come from, if those are mainly from US traffic, then that would explain the lack of visitors.

Page 2 rarely gets traffic and #10 gets very minimal clicks.

Please consider all the above inputs.

Also, don't just rely on Google with respect to getting traffic. You may want to consider doing Social Media Marketing and Video Promotion and Marketing as well. As the expression goes, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

yeh i just asked my mate to check my rankings i am in the top 10 on google for the terms "residual income" " passive income" " make passive income" "generate income"
I have been using google keyword tool which show 12000 searches a month for passive income and residual income.

I am new to internet marketing so i am finding it difficult at the moment, do you think my site is ranking well?

On my computer, using Google UK, you are no9 on page one for passive income and no7 on page 1 for residual income.

The first term gets 1000 exact match local searches per month and the second gets 880 exact match local searches.

The further down the page you are the fewer visitors your site receives. I personally wouldn't expect more than 30 or 40 a month from each of those search terms.

Try adding some more keywords and keep adding content. The site will build over time, it's not even 3 months old yet. Sites take time and age. Keep working on it and see how it's doing in 3 years time!

just because you are on Page 1 doesn't mean you will get traffic, people will work their way down the list and if they prefer the ones above you they will probably never get to you, also the site doesn't look very good it looks like a hyped con site that i don't think people will trust.

well mate its not a con site, yeh but the keywords passive income and residual income have an exact search of 12000 each a month. Surly i would have some sort of traffic, i am getting nothing at the moment.

your personalized Google search results are mixed with normal results, if you are logged in than log out and clear the cache of your browser.

I also had seen this many time my friend call me and congrats me for getting first spot at Google but when they clear the cache i am again at number 3

I think you might be putting too much emphasis on Google keywords.

There are 12000 searches for a term per month. So, 12000 put it into google. Probably about 50% will click the first link, 25% will click the first four...the rest are your takers, being further down the page.

On a computer, a large number might scroll down and see what else is on offer further down. I'm on a laptop most of the time, and don't bother wasting time scrolling, and mobile users have even further to scroll to find you. Some of the 25% left will be looking for something specific.

So, your site needs to do more to call people in to it from that Google page, and you probably do need to change your design. The person above didn't say your site was a con, but its styled very similar to one, and that will make people less likely to trust you.

The key points, I suppose, are that -
You are too far down Google to get many results,
People searching that term are looking for something you aren't giving,
Your site isn't styled as well as it could be,
You don't have enough content to keep people coming back.

I'd look at some other marketing methods to get traffic, and keep adding content, so you slowly climb the ranks of Google.

Interestingly enough, I'm in the UK, and your site is at the top of page 3 for me. I don't have or visit any sites with anything to do with your key terms, so I don't think my results could be skewered. I'm also logged out. If you are appearing there for a lot of people, they will never find you.

my friend from austraila has just checked google for my site and i am coming up on top of page 2. Someone else in this forum just said im ranked 9th place so i think you must be signed into gmail or something m8

Yeh mate i have just put that on yesterday but the state counter i have is telling me i am not getting any traffic?

I do with the site builder. I cant get into the html code because of the gdi website builder. Thats why i dont have googly analytics, i dont no how else to add it.

Well mate the site builder has 1 and it showed that i had traffic last month but all my traffic stopped suddenly and its been acouple of weeks now. With hardly any traffic, i dont no wots goin on.

Yes, this is one of the very real problems with what Google has done in its change of its Terms of Service, now if your logged into Google, or Youtube, or any of googles services, it will trend content that it "Thinks" is of interest to you.

This creates a huge problem, when your trying to do research, which means you really need to NOT be logged into google, unless your using the keyword tool, but here is where it really gets interesting, what kind of data is that tool returning.

What if thousands of marketers searched for one particular phrase, and your looking at data that is not real.

Then you might go out and think, (wow I just found a really great niche)

But in reality, what your seeing is not real.

This is a big problem for Google and Marketers alike as well as Advertisers.

It is A DISASTER... Just waiting to happen...

Is running IE "InPrivate" enough to clear Google's personalisations? I've tried it and do get very different results when I'm privately checking?
