Hi guys, I'm working on a site, and most of their urls are not optimized for seo.

ie, about us,Learn Chinese in Yangshuo

I want to change this to Learn Chinese in Yangshuo,Omeida Chinese Academy - Study Chinese in China | Learn Chinese in Yangshuo

How do I do this, and redirect the about us,Learn Chinese in Yangshuo to the new page...

Is this safe?

Cheers

    Hey Dog,

You have to do a 301 (permanent) redirect from your .htaccess file (if using unix/linux). And yes, it's safe. The new page will pick up the PR.

    Best,

You can make a 301 permanent redirect which helps you to gain every backlinks and link popularity of your old url to the redirected new URL.

The IT guy here says it's only for domains not, sub domains... is this right?

      It's on the same domain...
