Is there anyone here that has experience with the SEO PowerSuite.
The Seo spyglass looks like a great way to find back link sources..
Is the tool worth the money, or have Google changed their algo so much that the tool is out of date?

SEO Spyglass finds backlinks to a site. As long as Google uses backlinks to rank, this will be useful. Why not just check out the trial?

Same situation here, I'm pondering to buy seopowersuite too, I had always wanted to buy webceo, but seopowersuite seems to be the right tool for doing our SEOs.

I see the Rank Tracker not updating regularly according to Google Search Engine Results. i mean if our position is 7 and tomorrow it is 5 than still Rank tracker shows outdated position even i clear cookies, cache.. etc.. But the same on Market Samurai Rank Tracker.. i impressed.. they always shows 95% accurate.. so may be MS is best tool for Rank Tracker.

I have used the trial and loved it. I would upgrade, but the price tag is hefty.

Like SEOspyglass but frankly its the only thing in there worth the money although there are some features in link assistant I could use (just not for $249 - I would need the enterprise edition).

I respectfully disagree. I think all of their tools are designed with a purpose in mind that are very useful.

Spy Glass - It has it's own backlink source. The feature I find most useful is that you can sort the competitor's backlinks based on anchor text. It's great for breaking down websites with large amounts of backlinks.

Link Assistant - Lots of people seem to think that reciprocal link exchanges are no longer effective, but they're wrong for the most part. Mass link exchange campaigns with irrelevant websites are no longer effective. If you have a blog in a tight niche, getting other blogs to link to you is still very effective. Link assistant streamlines this process from finding links, maintaining links and maintaining the links page.

Rank Tracker - All competitors of rank tracker that are worth their salt are hosted solutions. I don't feel comfortable allowing a company access to all of the keywords I track. I also don't like being limited in how many keywords I can track. Rank Tracker has it's problems but with enough proxies and automatic scheduling IMO it's the best solution out there for non-hosted mass rank tracking.

Website Auditor - On page SEO is becoming more and more important these days. Website Auditor not only allows you to check out the optimization efforts of each individual page on your site, and compare them to the competitors in the SERPs - it also allows you to look at your site structure on a whole and make sure the internal links and structure of your site are properly targeting your most important/profitable pages. It can also generate a sitemap and robots.txt file for you as two bonus features.

All in all, I think it's definitely worth buying SEO Power Suite if you know what you're doing. Similar to buying a table saw, if you don't know how and why to use it - not only can it end up sitting in your garage collecting dust, it can also end up hurting you. However if you're an experienced SEO that is looking to maximize your time and efforts, SEO Power Suite can do just that.

No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

Oh I agree I am just saying for me they are not worth the price. I believe in three way link exchanges I just don't think much of what link assistant does is necessary for that. Rank tracker is WIDELY reported to give inaccurate results and there are free tools that do outstanding for me plus you can't pry me away from SEOmoz because their tools are outstanding and Power suites analysis tools don't hold a candle to them pricey or not. SO its not a matter of not knowing how to use them or what they re good for it s just for me they don't add anything to what I already use. If you don't use anything else but Powersuite then I guess it could be.

The more I keep looking at the seopowersuite feature comparison, the more I see not much significant difference between the pro and enterprise version apart from exporting data and generating report.

If we could have someone who's got and been using their enterprise edition and put their reviews here, it will help a lot.

You are right but that ability is HUGE. When you can export data you can compare it, Isolate links common to more than one domain and hunt down some interesting links. There is A LOT of power unleashed when you can lookat that data across multiple link sources.

If you have a lot of websites Rank Tracker is a must have - at least for me. It would be impossible to keep track of all my sites and rankings without it.

Nothing wrong with the tool, its all about how you use it.

Identify your strategies and choose your tools , most of the tools have a free version or trial period , if it suite your need go for it.

Ok, to Ask another way:Is it the best SEO tool in its niche? Would you recomend seomoz or powersuite for finding backlinks for instance ( without considering the price)

SEO Spyglass is an excellent tool. I use the free version for spying on my competition. I also recommend Traffic Travis (trial version) to assess competition too.

I never understand the paranoia surrounding automation? As long as you automate tasks you do anyway that take twice as long - I don't see a problem.

Have used SEO Power suite for years and it is one of those tools you just use over and over again whether you are tracking progress or just running analysis on expired domains or competitors.

It regularly uncovers useful links that are ranking competitor sites and for just one of those links it more than paid the fees required to use the software.
