I have lawyer website. Website rankings for 4 keywords was great #1. Site is 1 year old. I work link building for 4 keywords, all going to homepage. Before 5 days, all 4 keywords with home page disappears completely in Google. When I search for my keywords, cant find my homepage. But I find my inner pages (4.page, 6.page).
Site is still indexed and have PR.

What I need to do? What happen with my site? He will back?

Please help

That's the "wrong link building with no diversity" penalty.

I had it before many times; here are your fixes:

    1) 301 redirect to the .net or .org version of the site (if it's .com). Then 301 back to the original site after the new site gets indexed and the old site gets deindexed. This is by far the fastest way.

    2) wait it out; I've waited a few days to 1.5 years for sites to come back

    3) dilute your backlink profile and wait for the filter to disappear

    4) start a new site - sometimes your best bet, b/c these sites just dont rank the same in the future. It gets harder.

Also note: if you keep the same domain, this penalty may come back to haunt you forever every several months, even if it appears to disappear for a month or two.

    Hi everyone,

I really need some help. I'm trying to find the best keywords for my site but here is where I'm confused. If I type in "Learn to trade stocks" in Google adwords tool it says the competition is high but there are only 2,400 global monthly searches. It then gives me another idea which is "how to be a trader" which is LOW competition but has 24 million global monthly searches. I'm confused. My content set aside, which keyword is theoretically better? Should I choose low competition with lower searches OR lower competition with higher searches?

Stay patient and keep on building links (read quality links) not just to the homepage but other pages of this website and you should be doing just fine. :-)
