My website has disappeared from google SERPS! Help!

Hello,

I have one website that is 3 months old and a week ago was on the first page of Google, position 6 for a good keyword. Since last week everything was fine, but now my website has completely disappeared from SERPS.

When I type the full address of my website it appears on Google, the same when I select a phrase from the site and paste it on Google.

The robots.txt file is right (Allow: * tag is in place) I have a sitemap loaded in webmaster tool and everything is right but I don't know why it takes so long to appear once again on Google.

I know that sometimes this can happen but is taking too long...and I don't really understand why and don't know what I can do to fix it, if I can do something at all.

Any ideas and suggestions are really appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Did you use BMR or any similar campaigns?

These have been hit hard in the last week or so.

No I did not. But I ordered some backlinks for my website before the disappearing and that might be the problem....I don't know. I heard about the BMR service and what Google has done against them, thank God I didn't use any of that services.

      Thank you for your reply.

    Yes, I feel your pain!

However if you want to rank sites on Google in terms of SEO this is something that you have to get used too.

    My advice...

    Keep building natural backlinks.

    Keep adding QUALITY content regularly.

    Keep going.

Nearly all my content sites do this from time to time - you just to keep on going and it can take a long time but I assure you that there is no "magic bullet".

Thanks for your reply... You are so right on this, I am thinking to do exactly this and hopping the website will reappear in the SERPS once again.

Because this is exactly what google wants, good fresh content updated on a regular basis.

If it is still showing up when you put your url in google it may be dancing somewhere further back on a page. Use a rank tool to figure out exactly where it is. It doesn't sound like it's completely sandboxed. Sometimes a site can be doing really well then all of a sudden google decides they don't like it. It's important not to put all your eggs in one basket.

I use a rank tool and it doesn't show my site...

Excellent - that means we all move up one

    Sorry - couldn't resist!

Seriously though, this happens and it is often a good sign. If you monitor the situation over the next few days you might find it appearing and dissappearing from the SERPS, then finally settling on a new ranking. Hopefully, it will be higher than your old one.

      Thanks Will,

I am monitoring the rank daily and I will continue to do so in the next days. I hope you are right and it will appear once again in the SERPS.

    Hi Dan

It does happen. Google does that to me every time, just before promoting me.

    Good luck.

Did you ever show back up in the serps? If so, were you higher than you originally were before the drop?

This happens to me a lot. I had a review site (over 2 yrs old) that ranked on the first page for a single blog post for 3 different key phrases.

Suddenly two of the phrases completely disappeared! I was frustrated.. But, for some reason, a few weeks later it all bounced back and I was at position 1 for all 3 phrases.

I have no idea why it happens, but it does.

I recently created a new review that landed on pg 2 just after it was indexed. I purchased some backlinks and guess what? It's gone! And many of my other posts are gone from the SERPS, too!

I do know, however, that it will re-appear again soon, and at a higher ranking. So I try not to worry about it anymore.. Just have to stay patient (as tough as it seems!)

      Good luck!
