I know it use to work well.... does it still work well?

By high pr forum posting i mean finding really high pr do follow forums, then posting on pages with pr 4+ with your link. Is there still a lot of bang in that or not?

All you can do is try it. I don't do this kind of work any more... I create quality products that's my main focus and create traffic for that.

All link building work to some degree always... You just have to figure out if it's worth your time and energy to deal with...

This actually does work well, just look for 3-5 high PR pages that are still one page

    Post

Move on to the next forum!

I used to do this but found commenting on blogs to be much easier

Yes it depends on that the forum is dofollow or nofollow, if its dofollow then relevant posting (to reduce the ban) will work.

If they are dofollow and number of external links on those pages are low, those links can help the pagerank of your website to be increased and probably your ranking on SERP will be improved too.

It's hard, but it can be done. You just need to find threads that are PR1+ and still just 1 page. This is usually pretty rare, but they can be found.

On top of that, a random post potentially a year or two later with a link in the sig or post itself tends to look pretty suspicious to the forum mods / owner.

I am about to start my own little experiment with forum posting. I know it worked very well for another site in the past. I was not trying to build links for the site and discovered the power of forum posting by accident. I hope the results are just as good this time around!

If a page has PR4+ on a forum, chances are:

    1. It is very old, and thread is closed.
    2. It is very old, and has 1000's of pages, with spam content.

In both cases, you cannot leverage it.

Its working for me, under 10 min for 5+ high pr links so sorry to say i disagree..... if it hurt my serps or i stop going up i wont do it but for the time, the reward is great... p.s. scrapebox plus a custom footprint is not that hard

Quality forum posting on high pr forum can help your website to gain some authority. However you shall stay away from keyword based hyperlinks from signature.

As Concern, No Follow links are only preferable for Traffic Sources. They actually dint pass any PR Points and any other importance for increasing rank in SERP.
That's right, but they would still get you SLAPPED for the kw anchors if you're spamming them inappropriately. So be cautions, even though they're no-follow.

I think nowadays, the relevance has to do a lot, with whether it will give you any benefit or even link juice or not.
As a sort of a workaround on the relevance issue, just link with your plain url in the sig, and that shouldn't give you any slap, but should actually still boost your onsite keywords in ranking.
..In general they are good, just as everything, if built gradually and having something extra in your link portfolio.

SEO is nothing and SEO is everything too.. you cannot find an exact way to rank your different sites high with same procedure.. just try try try again and definitly you will find good results. and doing forum signature links is dofollow and always good for us..
