So I recently purchased an EMD .com domain in a good niche with 1,600 exact match US local monthly searches. It is a generic phrase with 5 words and the CPC is $2+. Anybody thinks there is value in it?

    Well IMO Real Value is in Traffic Not In Domain , Build a website , Generate good amount of traffic and that will add real value

    CPC can be very misleading. I generally don't even look at it anymore because I've seen so many $10+ CPCs where there actually were no advertisers. What is the competition (advertisers)? When you search for the keyword do you see lots of ads, no ads? Can you think of a product or service that people searching for that term will want to buy?

    Those are the types of questions you need to look at to determine if there's money to be made in a niche.

    If you purchased the domain and you determined keyword(s), so you don't have any other choice except start working on it and then after some weeks, you can see the results. No one can predict now the exact result of it. Maybe you make money as you expected from it and maybe not. It depends on many factors like available advertisers for that keywords, competition on that keyword and ...
