Is there a way of doing keyword research that would help me figure out what is being searched on the Kindle?

I know the kindle ain't no google yet the ebooks that I've read about Kindle publishing keep teaching about how to find your niche via the google keyword tool which I assume has no correlation with the Kindle, right?

Whatever you discover, just make sure the kindle book is 100% unique and yours. You could probably do some research by searching around on Amazon, drilling down towards your category, and see what's selling the best in that catetory. This will give you an idea of what people are buying and looking for.

I would assume that if it's popular on Google it's popular on Amazon, but there might be a function somewhere also. I will definitely come back to this thread to see if anyone has a better answer.

When you type in your keyword on Amazon, you can see it auto populates the field "guessing" at what you are looking for. It is thought that these are the in order of popularity of searches. There is also a software tool on the market that does this for you.

You can also look at the best sellers in Kindle in your niche. And get a feel for what is selling by the ranking and if you can compete by the number of pages of books in that niche.

I typed "Kindle bestsellers" in Google search and I got a few appropriate links:

    Amazon.com: kindle bestsellers
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bestsellers-...s/digital-text
Top 10 Kindle Bestsellers Are All Free

None of them are any sort of affiliate links :-). Use Google or Bing to find what you want and it will usually be there.
