Local SEO: How do you log your activity?

I'm curious to see if there's any software or other methods of logging activity and staying in line with your SEO roadmap. Managing several clients it can get easy to not remember everything. I currently use excel and have my monthly roadmap to activities.

So basically, I have a checklist for the pre-phase (onpage optimization), then I'll have an excel sheet that looks a little like:

Monday:
  • Acquire original article
  • Spin article to 40% uniqueness 20 times
  • Post first spun article to ezine
  • Scrape competition's link sources
  • Manually acquire 2 pr2+ relevant links
Tuesday
  • Submit spun version 2 to Weebly
  • manual submit to 2 directories
  • Post 5 real comments on relevant blogs
  • Buy PR5+ blogroll link
Wednesday, blah blah blah, Thursday, blah blah, Etc. etc.

The excel sheet I use has columns for exact URL of links, logins needed for 2.0 and article accounts, etc. And I don't do everything manually, I do use software and outsource some of this but I still need to keep track of all the activity in any SEO campaign.

My roadmap is much more detailed than this and even logs which sites to link to between each 2.0 property, etc. It needs to all be logged to stick to the plan, but the excel sheet just seems juvenile and I'm wondering what other SEOs do to log their activities, and keep to a specific roadmap.

SEO needs to be slow, dripfed, strategic, and careful to be done right, so it would seem this kind of thing exists. If not maybe I should develop something for it.

i always want to see the detail information in my SEO report.
I just suggest you to add those things that you need if you were the client.
Use different color for focusing any important point in your report.

So you're accustomed to using excel for this too? Or do you use something else?
