Backlinks from document sharing sites?

I've converted some of my articles in PDF's so I can submit to document sharing sites. I have a question for the people that have done this before for backlink or SEO purposes.

Are you hyperlinking your keyword within the PDF file and that is where the backlink is coming from? Because I don't see any other place to submit your links on the doc sharing sites.

Yes. I used a fiverr service to upload several ebooks I created to 20 document sharing sites. My backlinks were all made invisible by removing the underlining and changing the text color to black. My backlinks are links within the articles.

Yes is the short answer to that. Look at Scribd or Docstoc for examples. There is a place in your bio usually where you can put your url too.

Yes. This is the type of thing where you're probably best off just to pay for someone's submission service rather than figure it out yourself in my opinion though

In some places you can put a link in the description box as well.
