Thank you for using Rank Tracker!

It's common practice that just-launched websites rank high from the very beginning. Many webmasters observe this "newbie effect". Your initial high rankings were a bonus from Google. What you have now is the reality.

That said, your drop in rankings shouldn't be related to wrong link building strategy.

Just keep building links, add great content, and your rankings will steadily improve.

Keep us posted on your progress and happy ranking!

What I thought was weird was it would be #100 one day, then not even within top 1,000 the next day, then back to #150 spot or something. Is it normal to be so sporatic?

Such fluctuations are quite normal for new websites. Time will pass, and rankings will become more stable.

Most likely your website has been penalized for onpage SEO problems and probably not offpage. Check your website for tag pages and duplicate content etc.
