Cons or not building enough backlinks to inner pages?

Because my home page has 100x more backlinks than my inner pages.

    It does not look natural to have all of your links to one page, your home page for example. It is okay to have more links to your home page than the inner pages but you should have some links to each of your inner pages.

    Inner linking is a very important aspect when doing on-site SEO and basically the cons of not doing inner linking would be lower rankings in the serps.
