First Page for Local (How)

I bought an exact .net name domain (example dentistmycitystate.net). I have a wordpress page setup that has some dentist information with bullet points about certain kinds of dentists. I have a jpeg with alt tags for the keyword. I have the keyword in the first sentence and last paragraph. I have meta tags setup with site description and keywords.

Right now it is a one page site with 300 words on the page. What else do I need to do to get this to page 1. My goal is to get adsense revenue at first as the cpc for that keyword is around $5.00. If it goes to page one I want to either keep it as adsense or add dentist ads from the dentists that are not ranking well.

So any input as to what I need to do to get to page one would be appreciated. I want it to be whitehat and no chance to land in google's sandbox.

Thank you,
Brad

    Two ways to go here...

First, if you want to really please Google, then grab one of the new WP curation plugins or software and set a goal of one post per day (you can set up a bunch in advance and schedule them over time). This one post, however, would include 300 of your words, snippets with a link to other relevant articles, a related YouTube video, a related photo adorning your 300 word "daily summary" or words of wisdom, advice, etc. Also, highlight three keywords and make one link to your homepage, one to a related article off-site, and one to an affiliate product or whatever monetizing method you've got going.

That will give Google a daily shot of everything it loves and won't take you more than 30 minutes to an hour a day. If you don't like your subject, that can get boring quickly. But if you've got it down to a routine and a science and make your daily output of these tasks a personal race to outdo yourself, then it can become a fun game almost. That's how I handle it... making it a game to compete against my own past performance, doing more things or more things faster every day and keeping track. After a while, I can clearly see from my performance record what gets me the most bang for my buck, what's worth my time and what's not, and what's fun or so boring that I do or don't want to do it anymore.

That's just some thoughts on how I've decided to please Google...

    Hi Brad!

I did the same in my wife's salon business. I wrote an article about hair rebonding but it was nowhere near the first page of about 24T results. Here's a few of the things I did to my article.

    1. Use the heading tag - <h1>heading</h1> - or you can use the h2, h3 instead of h1
    2. Use long-tail keywords. Instead of "dentist information", you can use "dentist information in Canada"
    3. Use Wordpress SEO by Yoast. It's downloadable from Wordpress.org and all you have to do is fill out the blanks.
    4. Space your keyword every 100 to 150 words in your article.

If you'll type in "hair rebond in Cebu" or "quality hair rebond", the article related to dche salon is in the first page (I hope location doesn't matter in Google search). The latter has about 2M results and landing in the first page gave my wife a reason to be happier.

You can read more about it here - 5 Gentlemen Secrets Who Are Obsessed Of Quality Hair Rebonding In Cebu | Dche Salon and Spa

    Goodluck!

    Thanks!
