Amazon Review Sites Dilema: SE0

So i have a dilema:

I currently have 3 Amazon product review sites, only 1 of which is actually prominently within the top 4 for all primary keywords I'm targeting.

this site is netting me about $500-$800 per month - give or take.

I am paying a guy $200 per month to rank that one site and he's done a really good job but it took him months to get it to the point where it was drawing at least 50 visitors daily. now its averaging between 75-110 daily.

My problem is I want to go full speed ahead and I can build a quality review site in a week if I fully commit - but I'm only as fast as my slowest part, which is SEO.

I want him to get my other sites up and running but as I said I can knock out 4 sites a month if I needed, seo can only rank a site high every few months and it would cost me more money probably than I'd be able to bring in in a given month.

1 site = $200
2 sites = $400
3 sites = $600

I want to be making $2000 per month come December which is very doable but SEO is really weighing me down.

how do you make progress when the slowest part of your business is out of your control and taking its time cooperating?

its tough to stay motivated

As long as your sites will sustain their high rankings due to your seo guy's work, you will be in the black in the long term.....Just not for the short term!

It's really no different than businesses that you start or purchase where your costs are sunk heavily upfront so that it takes months or even years to earn back your sunk costs.

If you treat what you're doing as a true business (and it is), you should just stay motivated knowing that down the road, the site will be generating pure profit.

Yes, seo is something that is out of your control but in the long term you will find your sites stabilize in the high rankings and you can start to divert some of your earnings from them towards new sites...Instead of directly out of your pocket! So just keep that vision in mind and you will stay motivated!

      true. but its just frustrating.

its almost like i can see the finish line on top of the mountain and I want go all out to reach it but I have to wait for my fat out of shape climbing partner to squeeze his 2nd boot on.....

i don't think so. its more IM based - it was just a post about how SEO is really slowing me down, not how to perform seo.

i have a direction I want to go and a goal I want to attain, but I just don't see it happening at my current pace

I added to my suggestions and clarified a bit.

Red, You may need to invest more of your money to start, in order to make more later. Either that or you are going to need to learn to do some of the seo yourself. Can you set aside some time to do blog commenting on blogs that have keywordluv or commentluv?

It is better to get a few going and doing well, than having dozens of sites out there doing nothing.
It is very discouraging if it feels like nothing is working.

You could hire a second person to do seo. Give him/her a trial period. See how well she/he can do white hat seo to get your sites to first page.

The part you are having trouble with is the bottleneck in making a number of sites. You just have to have faith that you are doing what it takes and have a lot of patience.

The other thing is, after the sites start selling, give it 3 or 4 months and check the percentage of sales to the number of people that click over to Amazon. At this point you may be able to sell off a few that are not converting as well, which will give you the funds to outsource more seo to help get more of your sites up and running by December...
