Hello warriors,

I have a site that was built and ranked by one of the warriors and it is monetised with Adsense and Amazon.

The site is ranked number one on Google.com.

The site consists of 2 articles, About Us, Contact Us, Disclosure and Privacy policy page.

According to Awstats:

January 2012 - Unique visitors 1,795 - Adsense income - £7.30 ($10.95)
February 2012 - Unique visitors 2,769 - Adsense income - £11.57 ($17.36)
March 2012 - Unique visitors 1,933 - Adsense income - £5.51 ($8.27)
April 2012 - Unique visitors 1,160 - Adsense income - £6.52 ($9.78)

There has bee no income through Amazon to date.

As you can see from the stats that there is a reasonable amount of traffic to the site however the income is relatively low therefore I wondered if warriors have suggestions on how I can increase revenue from the site.

Any help, advice or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

as long as there are some relevant products in amazon for the niche that you site is around you can just add some amazon links

ive found that text links work very well, much better than banners and images most of the time or especially on the sites that ive made and the niches that ive been in

scatter some text links for amazon amazon your content have one in your sidebar too

this way you give people choice of either cliking an add and if they scroll further down they will then have the option of going to amazon and looking at other products then the moment they get to amazon the cookie is dropped which is what you want

dont make the links too obvious though otherwise it will take the focus completely away from adsense so you wont end up making any more, you want a bit of both

hope this give you a few ideas

    paul

Can you please embelish upon your response because the site already has links to Amazon products in the niche.

The site is in the health niche.

      Thanks.

How old is the site? I'm wondering if maybe the content somehow seems 'dated' to visitors. Even if this isn't the case, adding additional fresh content might make the site seem meatier and more trustworthy to them. The way I see it, lack of Amazon revenue might indicate that site visitors aren't being drawn in by your suggestions and recommendations, and would rather pursue the next shiny object (via your Adsense links, fortunately) that they can see might be on offer elsewhere. Bulking your content up a bit might imply authority sufficiently enough for them to believe that your Amazon links are worth chasing.

I truly believe that sometimes sites just do better via Adsense and not with AMazon. And VIce Versa.

One thing I never liked to do though was combine the 2 on my website. If I want to montize with adsense then that's the route I will take for the site.

    just my opinion of course!

Maybe you should try out another niche/market if your current one is not converting well. Good luck.
